Welcome to my blog! Bienvenue! Bienvenidos!

Maxime, owner and manager of the new Viva Tapas Bar Lounge restaurant isn’t a stranger to Old Montreal. His Formula 1 official merchandise shop made him known to Montreal’s jet-set and to the many tourists who came to town in June to
attend the Grand Prix. Keeping his high-end souvenir shop, Maxime developed a new passion that caters to pretty much the same clientele, one that enjoys the finer things in life.

Restaurant Viva is more than just another place to eat; it’s a place where one can go to have a drink, relax and have some tapas while listening to music selected to fit the time and the crowd. Viva is not a classical restaurant where you have a seat and wait for your dish, it’s more the type of place where one has a glass while eating tapas and mingling, waiting for the chance to share a good meal.

Viva has a Creative Mediterranean type menu that changes with seasonal market arrivals. Fishes and meats of all types are on the menu but you can also order an assorted tapas meal. Presentation of the dishes are beautiful and harmonized with a modern deco contrasting with the usual trendy places in Old Montreal.

The restaurant business

Well, this is my first foodie blog and I will try to update this thread as much as possible.
So, welcome to my world, a snap shot of what I go through in my whirlwind life...of restaurant tapas bar owner in Montreal...and all of the above ;-)
So, this weekend, all went well, the fireworks festival rocked it in the Old Port and Viva was busy but not too crazy which gave me some time to go see my other business...F1 Boutique Canada and a a little convenience store that's family owned for the past 15 years on Ile Ste Helene.
This Monday gave me some time to recoup, follow up with online customers and look at some new fresh food ideas, heads up for Merguez with Chorizo with a vodka lime and mint sauce!
By the way, I also got contacted by Martiniboys.com who want to include us on their restaurant "up and coming hot spots" in Montreal:

and a nice addie, we were packed during the FIFA World Cup game, Spain won 1-0!
Viva EspaƱa! and thank you Nighlife.ca magazine for rating us as one the best tapas bar in Montreal to watch the soccer games!
